PayPoint Romania, one of the main cash payment operators in Romania, has signed an agreement with ApaVital Iasi, the main water services provider in Iasi for the collection of bill payments.

PayPoint plc, the main cash and online payments operator in the UK, has announced the bill payment network and transaction volume growth in Romania. The company reported revenue of 24.4 million GBP (28.8 million Euro), an increasing number of clients by signing 13 new contracts for collecting payments and 900 new PayPoint points of payment.

PayPoint Romania, one of the leading cash payment operators in Romania, has announced that it has signed a new contract with Congaz, the only supplier and distributor of natural gas in Constanta county. Congaz customers will benefit from the cash bill payment services offered by PayPoint Romania through its network of terminals in neighbourhood stores in Constanta, Ovidiu, Navodari, Mihail Kogalniceanu, Medgidia, Cumpana and Negru Voda. The PayPoint service can also be used by Congaz customers who live in other parts of the country, but have a property using Congaz products in these cities.

PayPoint Romania, one of the main cash payment operators in Romania, has announced that it has signed five new agreements across a range of business sectors. The new contracts with Apanova, Electrica Transilvania Sud, EOS KSI Romania, GE Money and Petrom Distributie Gaze will enable customers of the five companies to benefit from the cash payment services offered by PayPoint Romania through its network of branded terminals in neighbourhood stores throughout Romania.

PayPoint plc, the main cash and online payments operator in the UK, has announced that its business in Romania has completed a highly successful year, with 14 major clients signed up following the launch of its national bill payment service, and the roll-out of its branded PayPoint network across the country. During the year from April 2008 to March 2009, the number of terminals grew to 5,702, up 42% compared to the previous year, of which more than 2,000 are fully branded as PayPoint.

PayPoint extends its bill payment service on the Romanian market by signing partnerships with Allianz Tiriac, ENEL, E.ON Gaz Romania and E.ON Moldova Furnizare. In the same time, the company diversify its electronic recharge service, extending the contract with UPC for Focus Sat digital tv channel and the contract with Zapp for prepaid new services.

PayPoint , a leading distributor of telecom prepaid services through its subsidiary Pay Store, has launched a national service for the electronic payment of household bills. This is the first multi client, purpose-built network of its kind to be active in Romania. The service has been live now for two months over which time it has been tested thoroughly in the local market. As of now, customers of Romtelecom, Distrigaz Sud, UPC and Zapp can pay their bills at local food stores and other retailers across the country where they see the distinctive yellow and purple PayPoint sign.

Transaction volume of British group PayPoint, which facilitate the cash and on line payments, increased with 22% on financial year ended at 30 march.

Starting April this year, Saatchi&Saatchi PR has been chosen the public relations agency for PayPoint in Romania, following a pitch where another three agencies have participated.
